Book Cover: Carlota París

Combination of digital and hand-drawn illustrations using Adobe Fresco, Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator, 2022

Carlota París is a book cover illustration I made during my 2022 internship at Malas Artes Editorial for Marta Hernani’s novel. The story follows Carlota, a young girl looking for her missing mother while discovering a hidden supernatural world. The cover mixes this mysterious mood with a real rooftop view of Madrid, which inspired the setting and grounded the fantasy in a familiar city. I also designed Carlota’s character, focusing mainly on her back view for the final cover.
